How this site works.

Two paths. Claim an open settlement yourself on the official site, or ask for a free case review if you were hurt or no settlement exists yet.

Path one: claim an open settlement.

For settlements that have already been reached, where the court has set up a claims process. You do not need us, or a lawyer, to file.

  1. 1

    Find a settlement.

Browse open settlements by topic or search by company. Each page lists who qualifies, what you can get, the proof needed, and the deadline, with sources.

  2. 2

    Check the official site.

Every page links to the official, court-approved settlement website. Confirm the deadline and the rules there, because they can change.

  3. 3

    File it yourself, free.

You file on the official site, usually in a few minutes. It never costs money to file. We never file for you and never see your claim.

Open settlements

Path two: a free case review.

For lawsuits still being investigated or litigated, and for injuries where an individual claim may be worth more than a class payment.

  1. 1

    Tell us what happened.

A few short questions: what happened, the harm it caused, when, and your state. About two minutes, no documents needed.

  2. 2

Your answers go to a law firm.

If you choose to continue, your answers go to an independent attorney or law firm that handles that kind of case. We do not judge your claim.

  3. 3

    Hear back if it fits.

If your situation fits what the firm takes on, they contact you directly, usually by phone. Whether to talk with them, and whether to hire them, is up to you.

What we do.

  • List open settlements with deadlines, payouts, and eligibility checked against the official sources.
  • Link to the official, court-approved settlement website for every settlement.
  • Explain lawsuits in plain English, and say clearly when claims are only allegations.
  • Pass your case review to independent law firms that handle that kind of case.
  • Honor your privacy choices, including opt-outs.

What we do not do.

  • We are not a law firm and do not give legal advice.
  • We are not a lawyer referral service or a settlement administrator.
  • We never file settlement claims for you, and we never charge to file.
  • We do not evaluate whether your claim has merit.
  • We do not endorse, rank, vet, or recommend any lawyer.
  • We do not guarantee that an attorney will contact you or take your case.

Who pays.

Participating attorneys and law firms pay us flat advertising fees. They never pay a percentage of their fees or a share of any recovery, and the fee does not depend on whether you hire them. You pay nothing, and settlement administrators and the companies being sued pay us nothing. Details are in our advertising disclosure.

Your privacy.

Case review answers go to participating law firms and their agents, not to the company you have a problem with and not to unrelated marketers. Because firms pay us, this sharing may count as a sale under some state privacy laws, and you can opt out at any time. Read the privacy policy or use our opt-out page.

Questions?

Email hello@bestclassactions.com to ask about the case review. We cannot file a settlement claim for you or tell you whether you have a case.

Common questions.

Do I need a lawyer to file a settlement claim?

No. Class members file their own claims on the official settlement website, and filing is free. Class counsel already represents the class, so most people never need to hire anyone to get a settlement payment.

When should I use the free case review instead?

When there is no settlement to claim yet, or when your situation may be bigger than a settlement claim form, such as a serious injury from a drug, device, or product. The case review sends your answers to an independent law firm that handles that kind of case.

Is the case review really free?

Yes. You pay nothing to use the site or the case review. If you later hire an attorney, that attorney explains their own fee terms, and many injury and consumer cases are handled on contingency.

Am I hiring a lawyer by submitting?

No. Submitting does not create an attorney-client relationship with us or with anyone. That happens only if you and an attorney agree to it, usually in a signed agreement.

Does submitting stop the clock on my deadline?

No. A case review does not pause any statute of limitations or settlement claim deadline. If a settlement deadline is close, file on the official settlement website first.

Can I stop the calls or texts?

Yes. Reply STOP to any text, or email hello@bestclassactions.com to revoke consent. Consent to calls and texts is never a condition of getting a case review.
